Privacy policy

This explains what Paperkit collects when you browse, buy, or subscribe, why we collect it, and what say you have over it. It covers the website and the Paperkit app.
1. Overview
Paperkit is operated by Paperkit, Inc.. We collect the minimum we need to deliver your downloads, process payments, and run a small catalog business — not to build an advertising profile. We don't sell your personal information, to anyone, ever.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, and a password if you set one, when you create an account or make a purchase.
- Purchase history — which titles you've bought, your license type, and your subscription status, so your library and re-downloads work correctly.
- Device & usage data — basic technical information (browser type, general location from IP address, pages viewed) used to keep the site working and to understand what people actually use.
- Payment details — handled entirely by Paddle, our payment processor. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, never your full card number.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to deliver downloads, maintain your library, process payments and refunds, respond when you contact support, and — only if you've opted in — send product updates. We also use aggregated, non-identifying usage data to decide what to build next.
4. Payment processing
Payments are processed securely by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Paddle collects and stores your payment details under its own privacy policy — we never see or store your full card number. Your bank or card statement will show a charge from PADDLE.NET or PADDLE.COM.
7. Data retention
We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account is active, so your library and re-download links keep working, and for a reasonable period after that for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes. You can request deletion sooner — see your rights below.
8. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message. To exercise any of these, email support@paperkit.example — we'll handle it directly, no account dashboard required.
9. Children's privacy
Paperkit is intended for adults making purchases for themselves, their families, or their professional practice. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let account holders know by email.
